We are currently looking for a Regular, Full time, Exempt employee for the role of Research Analyst in our Insights - Research Department. 

Position Summary: 

Do you have 2-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare research? We will train and equip you with the experience needed for success and professional growth.

BioNews Insights researches patient-reported outcomes in rare disease communities in order to inform and improve the quality of life for the patients we serve. We are looking for a Research Analyst with a passion for using data that translates to actionable information for our customers and those living with rare diseases. As a Research Analyst, you will analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative survey data to better understand the patient experience. Responsibilities will include producing reports for our customers and patients while participating in hypothesis-driven research. In this role, we need you to be able to understand human behavior, have a high level of motivation and excellent communication skills. These skills are required to manage an incredibly diverse slate of work, customers, and team personalities.

Pensacola, Florida office:  3 W. Garden Street Suite 206 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Questionnaire design/programming
  • Overseeing data collection
  • Conducting quantitative and qualitative analytics in a methodical fashion
  • Compiling and writing research reports
  • Delivering and articulating findings to clients
  • Test survey links (including testing for spelling, grammar, and logic skips)
  • Data visualization including chart and table creation in Qualtrics or Excel and PowerPoint
  • With direction and support, research and write survey questionnaires using clear phrasing and proper spelling/grammar
  • Ensure all response options are mutually exclusive and exhaustive
  • Take detailed notes during client calls and meetings
  • Be able to effectively problem solve logistical issues and adjust on the fly
  • Proactively identify issues and suggest solutions on how to make research projects run more smoothly

Education Required:

  • MS with a focus on Data Science, Biology, Healthcare, Pharmacy, Psychology, Sociology, Research Methods, Behavioral Economics, Human-computer Interaction (HCI), or similar

Experience Required:

  • Academic experience with survey research, consulting, data analytics, user experience, or survey methodology
  • Data analysis experience, including both quantitative and qualitative
  • Candidate must have direct market research experience in our industry 
  • Must have statistics background and experience with SPSS 

Experience Preferred

  • Healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
  • Manuscript, publication, or grant writing preferred

Knowledge Required:

  • Metrics knowledge

Knowledge Preferred:

  • Qualtrics and StatsIQ 
  • Coding knowledge

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Prior success/demonstrated competencies for organization/project management
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Effective verbal and written communication style needed to distill complex research problems into understandable, compelling, and actionable insights
  • Excellent follow-up and follow-through
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PP, Outlook) – Proficient with Google Applications
  • Excellent personal accountability and strong work ethic
  • Ability to assimilate to BioNews’ company culture
